Your team is an old Rap album: The 2013 Charlotte Bobcats are "Aftermath" by Dr. Dre

Everything Dr. Dre’s name is attached to is worthwhile. As rules of thumbs go, it’s a pretty good one.

Alright, there’s probably no excusing The World Class Wrecking Crew, and the outfits in particular, but we can chalk that mess up to youthful enthusiam and the 80’s, in that order.

Beyond that though, dude is batting about as close to 1,000 as humanly possible, even more impressive given the fact that he’s been at this for more than 25 years. NWA. Death Row. Eminem. 50 Cent. All tremendous statements, all historical figures in Hip-Hop, all hugely successful commerically and artistically.

That said, Dre aint perfect.

Do you remember “the Aftermath”? I’m not mad at you if you don’t. Not much to say for it really, other than the fact that Dre helmed it. Yeah the record sold a bit, but musically it’s pretty forgettable and the array of guest performers reads like a “where are they now?” list.

Hey, even Dre fucks up sometimes.

Not like this is a new phenomenon or anything, but Michael Jordan sucks as anything other than a basketball player. His teams don’t win, he doesn’t spend money and unless he wins the lottery, none of that is likely to change anytime soon.

Yeah, that’s all I got. This team is impossibly shitty. Move along now.
